Viva San Juan, Mabuhay LGES!

LGES Band headed the parade

June 24, 2016. It’s San Juan Day! But it also marks the 1st Foundation day of Leon A. Garcia Sr. Elementary School through the initiative of school’s principal, Mrs. Donna A. Sollano.

The LGES started way back 1977 but there was no exact date of its Foundation Day (Though it has been a practice that the school would join in the community fiesta celebration).

Fiesta Mass
A mass was held in the morning which was participated by the San Juan Village community and school community. Then, a parade was held where the LGES band played festive music. The PTA officers were around during the parade to show their unified support to the 1st Foundation Day of the school. Of course, all pupils were in attendance together with their advisers.

There were three categories: Kindergarten to Grade One, Grade Two to Grade Three and Grade Four, Grade Five & Grade Six. The winners were Grade One, Grade Two and Grade Six. Each winner received special packs of awards and certificate.

Then, the pupils enjoyed the parlor games prepared by the teachers. And at the afternoon, the pupils had free film viewing at the gym. They watched two movies, The Good Dinosaur and This Time.

Film Viewing
Mrs. Donna A. Sollano was thankful to all who have extended their time and effort to the success of the event. She also commended to the active participation of the LGES pupils.
